As the wise would say, rough waters always make skilled sailors. Ships are the safest when anchored near the shore but they are not simply built for that. Similarly, we want our lives to be smooth and hassle free, in the confines of our homes for fear of Covid. But the Almighty gives us courage to face all challenges. After all, it is the experiences we gain through the challenges, obstacles and hard times, that pave the way for shaping us into stronger versions of ourselves. Covid 19 pandemic has been one of the hardest experiences we have ever faced....

The year 2020-21 will be remembered by all of us for being a year of unprecedented challenges. The nation promised that it would comply with instructions and follow the norms of social distancing, wearing of masks and stepping out only for emergencies. Hospital and health workers got ready for what was to be the worst pandemic in modern times.

Schools were to remain closed till further notice. Online classes were to commence as soon as possible. ‘Online Classes’, the very term was daunting for School Managements .....

While we all reel under the aftermath of an unprecedented crisis, we are given to believe that ‘No man is an island’. We all need each other to lean on. There has not been a single family untouched by this pandemic and our hearts go out to each one of you during these difficult times. We pray that you find a place in your heart to motivate each other in the days to come, as we look forward towards a collaborative learni ng environment for our children.

Though the pandemic has ripped our happiness and forced us to refer to these days as the ‘gloomy times’, we see a ray of hope at the end of ...

How true these words are! We went through a challenging time but we were always assured of God’s Grace and protection. My teachers, Support Staff and Administrative Staff stood by my side and took such good care of the children and the school during those trying times.

Now the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming in the school garden and our children are back with us.The school corridors and the playground resound with the voices and laughter of the children. Somerville School, NOIDA has come alive!! ....
